Canada new light-duty auto sales rose by 8.2% in 2024 to 1.86 million units. This increase in sales came after a 12% increase in sales in 2023, which was the largest increase since 1997, following slumping sales after 2020.
From all the vehicles sold in 2024 in Canada, pickups, SUVs and minivans had a market share of 86.6%.

6. Chevrolet Silverado – 52,078 vehicles sold in 2024, an increase of 2.2 percent from 2023
7. Nissan Rogue – 32,737 vehicles sold in 2024, an increase of 22.8 percent from 2023
8. Honda Civic – 31,774 vehicles sold in 2024, an increase of 14.3 percent from 2023
9. Ford Escape – 31,037 vehicles sold in 2024, an increase of 58.8 percent from 2023
10. Hyundai Kona – 30,020 vehicles sold in 2024, an increase of 33.8 percent from 2023
Ford’s F-Series was again the best selling pickup in Canada for the 59th consecutive year, as the overall best-selling vehicle for the last 15 years.
